Stanford has 7 Champs at Menlo Open - No. 15 Stanford opened the 2021-22 season with seven champions at the Menlo Open, Sunday, in Haynes-Primm Pavilion. In total, Stanford has 12 placewinners on Sunday. The Cardinal who were crowned champions were Jackson DiSario (133), Jaden Abas (149), Charlie Darracott (157), Shane Griffith (165), Tyler Eischens (174), Nick Stemmet (197) and Peter Ming (285).

Former Georgia hammer Nick Stonecheck takes 6th (141) at Clarion Open.

Former Florida hammer Charles Small was 4th (184) at the Clarion Open.

Former Georgia hammer Jaxon Smith was 4th (197) at Clarion Open.

Freshman (and former Georgia hammer) Thomas Godbee won the 197 lb. title at East Stroudsburg.

  • NC State Claims 6 titles at Citadel Open - In the first tournament of the 2021-22 NC State Wrestling season, the Wolfpack claimed six of the 10 weight classes and had 15 top-three finishes over at The Citadel Open. NC State claimed the top three spots at both 197 pounds and heavyweight, and also the top two at 157 pounds. Former South Carolina hammer Owen Trephan wins at 285 over teammate Deonte Wilson.

  • Tar Heels hit the road in Top 15 Matchup - The No. 12 ranked North Carolina wrestling team (2-0 overall; 0-0 ACC) hits the road for the first time to take on No. 10 Ohio State in an early-season top-15 showdown. The match between the Tar Heels and Buckeyes will take place at 1 p.m. ET.

  • UTC downs Cumberland 25-15 - The Chattanooga wrestling team opened its 2021-22 campaign with a 25-15 victory over Cumberland inside Maclellan Gym on Saturday night.

  • Lander wrestling prepares to begin the 2021-22 season with the UNC Pembroke Open on Sunday

  • Brewton-Parker takes 8th at Mount Union Invitational - The Barons gathered eighth place in the 10-team field, earning 73 points. Brewton-Parker, the lone NAIA program, competed in a field that was comprised of three NCAA DII programs and six NCAA DIII programs. Four of the nine teams were nationally ranked in their respective divisions.
