By this time - many of you have seen that we are doing highlights of different teams across the SE as we gear up to drop the team previews in 7 weeks. I was releasing one team a day, but with now over 115 teams having sent in information - I’ll try to ramp it up a bit so we can get as many in as possible before the first part of October. I can’t guarantee I’ll get to everyone, but I will try to get to as many as possible. Please re-visit when the actual previews get dropped in October because what I am sharing below are just a few of the names the coaches have given me. Much more will be shared - plus SEWrestle’s “What to Expect” - in the team previews.
Gainesville (Georgia)
Coach Roberto Rivera continues to build Gainesville into a tough program (in what might be the toughest 7A regions in the state) and the expectations are there to continue to make significant gains with the return of 10 starters.
State Placers Kendice Cavazos returns looking to climb to the top step and lead the team in 2021-2022. Keep an eye on returning State Qualifiers:

“Looking forward to see our growth as a team and the development of our wrestlers. We are in our3rd year together with about 10 starters coming back. Although COVID took away 2 summers we were able to get in a great summer for the first time, which will help us close the gap against the toughest 7A region and possibly the state. We will still have some learning curve with about 4-5 young wrestlers early in the season, but we will be battle tested once we get into the State Series. ”
