Jones County (GA)

Head Coach: Adam Gillhouse (entering 1st season)

Staff: Tony Monroe, Jordan Green

Coach Gillhouse and staff have to be excited with the wrestlers that are returning in 21-22 - particularly State Placers Chi Anderson who finished 4th at 220 as a Sophomore and Bryce Boland who was 5th at 120. Both Anderson and Boland will be hunting the top step on the podium in 2022. Tobias Clements and Marquez Hunt each won matches in Macon and could make it four Greyhounds on the podium in 2022.

Coach Gillhouse will turn to James Rackley, Blake Copeland, Aiden Lipford, and Jackson Brown to solidify the bottom part of the lineup and for Grayson Dugger to step in up top … that leaves just a few weights where we could see some new faces step into the lineup in 21-22.

We have had a really good summer and fall. We have great numbers and are getting a lot stronger. We are excited to see how much we have improved once the season starts.

Brookwood (GA)

Head Coach: Chris Cicora (entering 16th season)

Staff: Joe Daniels, Scott Tomlinson

Lots of changes for the Broncos during the “off-season” as they lose State Champ Landen Moss (transfer to Walnut Grove), but add multiple time State Champ Amantee Mills and Jaheim Mills to the lineup. 120/126 in 7A just got interesting. Beyond that - Brookwood goes back to work with a fairly similar group to what we have seen over the last few years. They return 9 State Qualifiers including Ivan Gonzalez, Xavier Bentley, and Alex Bonn - each won multiple matches in Macon and should be hunting a spot on the podium in 2022.

One key to Brookwood’s success will be how well some other parts of the lineup compete in 2021-22. Evan Gonzalez, Jordan Oldknow, Daniel Wu, and Kage Horner each qualified a year ago and will be an important part of Brookwood’s success this coming season. Keep an eye on freshmen KJ Jett, Gilberto Balbuena, and Parker Trotter to make an impact.

After losing several pieces from last years squad the Broncos reload with a talented group of freshman and the addition of the Mills brothers. This year the competition level in our room will be better and individual success should be a biproduct of that. At Traditional we should be able to put up some competitive points, especially in the lower half of our line up. However, the lack of depth and experience in the upper half of the line up may cause a challenge in Duals. When this team comes together they will be tough.

Lincoln (FL)

Head Coach: Mike Crowder (entering 28th season)

Staff: Jake Burch, Reggie Toombs, Jacob Loveland, Norman Norton

Coach Crowder has another solid group in the room and should be a force in 2A Region 1 in 2022. State Placers Elijah Hendley and Wyatt Yown have graduated, but the Trojans return nearly every other starter on a team that finished in the top 15 in 2A in 2021. State Placer Cayden Bevis returns after taking 3rd and should lead the way in 21-22.

Nine returning Trojans won a match at the 2A Region 1 Tournament in 2021 and each should be looking to punch their ticket to Kissimmee in 2022. That group is led by Omarion LaRoach, Connor Edwards, and Vaniel Caceres. This team has the ability to push for the top spot in 2A Region 1, but will need JaShawn Washington, Zaire Fernanders-Jackson, Mason Crowder, and Nic Weaver to make an impact. Keep an eye on Vincent Crump and Joe Tucker - they are two that could help push the Trojans toward the top.

Numbers are high and competition in the room is great we are excited for the challenges in front of us and the chance to show what we can accomplish.
