Lots of newcomers at RS Central, but the expectations are high. It will be interesting to see how Powell and Tate develop this season, but a name to watch is freshman Gretchen Toney. Toney wrestled in middle school and has put in extensive work over the summer … despite being a freshman she will likely lead the way in 2023-2024. - SEWrestle

Coach Zito (x2) have done an amazing job of resurrecting the John Carroll boys program and establishing a solid foundation for the girls program. John Carroll enters the first “official” season in Alabama with established starters Ava Koch and Kourtney Bufford as well as middle-schoolers Eliza Hay and Kealy Deason. These four have experience and it will be interesting to see how they continue to develop. Each will be looking to punch her ticket to the state tournament this season. - SEWrestle
