Despite graduating their only two state qualifiers from a year ago, Coach Hewgley is excited about this team and the potential for them to make some noise in 2023-2024. The Catamounts of Panther Creek return a lot of wrestlers with post-season experience … the key now will be getting them to punch their ticket to the big dance. Jesse Farnsworth, Matthew Edwards, Noah Vo, Ethan Cohen, Noah Rasmussen, John Dube, and Sebastian Rivera all competed at the 4A Mideast Tournament in 2023 and each will look to take that next step this season. Keep an eye on Ryu Wells and Gabe Mumma who have put in a lot of effort this off-season and will look to establish themselves in the lineup as well. One other is freshman Julian Morris - a move-in from Minnesota who will look to lock down the 132 lb. spot. The Catamounts have a lot of potential … how much is realized in 2023-2024 only time will tell. - SEWrestle

Outstanding program. Coach Merry has built Mt Pisgah Christian into one of the premier programs in the state regardless of class. They go and compete against everyone and are always in the hunt for a title. Despite graduating some hammers including 3 State Champions and a State Placer … Pisgah still returns enough firepower to be one of the favorites to make a run to the top step again. State Champions Marley Washington and Conner Doherty are back to defend their titles along with State Runner-up Josh Lange and State Placers Steele Brown, Christian Lange, Pierre Nelson and State Qualifier Tyler Prinzo. But to make a run in 1A - you need depth and that is where some new faces will be asked to step up. Keep an eye on Dillon Brubaker, JP Pickren, Zayd Ahmed, Jake Schmitz, and Praise Chane as well as a pair of freshmen in Noah Bellue and Chase Mckee. If Pisgah is going to defend their dual title and take the traditional one as well they will need a few of those mentioned above to step up and punch their ticket to Macon in 2024. - SEWrestle

We could argue that North Forsyth has been the most consistent team in 6A over the last half decade. They always bring a ton of wrestlers to the state tournament, have a team that will fight at every weight from top to bottom, and will have wrestlers finishing somewhere on the podium. Year in, year out without exception. Nothing should change in 2023-2024. They might be a little younger, especially through the middle of their lineup, with the graduation of several hammers in Christopher Henderson, Collin Miller, Cody Scroggins, and William Verdirame. Despite the graduation … North Forsyth will be back in the hunt for a title in 2024. Dmitry Vostrikov won an individual title last year and Collin Kelly finished 2nd as a sophomore. Reece Meyers was 6th and Xavier Martinez was a Satte Qualifier. All four will be hunting the podium in 2024. The key to North Forsyth being in the mix will be how well Arcadian Eaton, Joabe Araujo, and Seth Daugherty wrestle in 2024 … each missed punching his ticket in 2023 … expect all three to be on the mats in Macon this year. Keep an eye on Nick Ruis, Jackson Coulter, Kai Saturno, Landon Goudy, Christopher Lee, Silas Hall and Angelo Frankie … each could play a huge role in how North Forsyth finishes as a team. - SEWrestle
