National Signing Period Around the SE

SE hammers signing. Hammers from around the country signing with SE schools and heading to the #dirtysouth for college. We’ve got all kinds. College wrestling (specifically Division 1 and Division 2 schools) has signing periods and November 11th was the first day for commits to sign with their schools. Meaning we are likely to see additional signings in the coming days.

Signing LOI’s and working out what is involved with the commitments from the school and the individual are not always straightforward. As a result, I think you will find that these things will be worked out during the signing period. Look for additions to the post in the coming days.

I tried to pull information from social media, but I’m certain some signees were missed. Please let me know sewrestle@gmail.com if I missed anything.

Landon on why he chose App State

Culture and I wanted to show that a kid from western North Carolina can be on the NCAA podium. I feel like I can grow under the staff and the proof is in the pudding with Coach Bentley’s results with in-state talent.

The Terps press release includes the following quote from Coach Clemsen about Jaxon “The Dirty South is blowing up in the wrestling world. I've been recruiting the Atlanta area since my early years when I was just starting my coaching career. I think those relationships – along with Coach Brascetta's relationship with the southern wrestling community – allowed us to go down and get one of the best blue chip upperweights in the country. Jaxon is super athletic. He moves like a small guy in a big guy's body, and I can't wait to see that athleticism on full display for our team. He really helped initiate what's really going to be a highly ranked group of guys for us in this 2021 class.”

Hokies press release includes the following statement by Coach Robie “I believe that Cooper Flynn is just hitting his stride and his best wrestling is still in front of him. His work ethic and toughness are already at an elite level. He wrestles a style that is conducive to success at the college level, as he has the ability to dominate his opponents in every position. His relationship with Sam Latona is one of the biggest reasons Cooper choose Virginia Tech. As a coach, it's very exciting to know we have another light weight coming in that shares Sam's mindset. I can't wait to see how he develops under Coach Brewer and the rest of our staff."
