Cleburne County mounts an outstanding comeback to down Ashville for the 1A-4A title
Alabama Girls State Tournament
Daphne’s Kaylee Holder and Emily Sasser each claimed a state title and paced Daphne to the team title over Thompson. Thompson’s Lynleigh Weltzin and Aenaya Vines claimed individual titles for the Warriors. WS Neal finished third with Northside Methodist 4th, and Auburn and Enterprise finishing 5th.

Georgia Elite 8 State Duals
56 teams booked their ticket to the Elite 8 in Georgia this weekend. The State Duals will be held in 7 different locations (one for each class) next Saturday. Here are your top seeds (brackets to be posted soon):

6A: Alexander
5A: Woodland
4A: Jefferson
3A: North Hall
2A: Oglethorpe County
1A: Trion
McCallie (TN) claims the CAK Warrior Invitational Title
Jack Braman, Emory Taylor, Gavin Cagle, Alex Whitworth, and Frankie Zahrobsky each claimed titles for McCallie as they held off 1A-2A powers Gibbs and Pigeon Forge. Pigeon Forge put three on the top step (Ethan Sutton, Josh Parton, and Caleb Wolfe), as did Lakeway Christian with Keyveon Roller, Brayden Ivy, and Timothy Charpenter, but neither team could overtake Gibbs for second. Gibbs crowned just one champ, Porter Finstad at 106, but put 8 on the podium to hold off the rest of the field. Also claiming individual titles were Stone Cummins of Anderson County and Tate Williams of Boyd Buchanan.
Ft Walton Beach (FL) claims the 2nd Annual George Mulligan Memorial Title over Gulf Breeze
Brandon Mallin (120), Caleb Tourgee (160), and Cedric Fairrow (220) led the way for the Vikings of FWB as they held off a pack of teams. Gulf Breeze finished 2nd, Moseley was 3rd, Niceville was 4th, and South Walton was 5th. Gulf Breeze and Moseley each put 3 on top of the podium, but couldn’t make up the ground on the backside to catch FWB. Claiming titles for Gulf Breeze were Hunter Dupont (182), Ian Daily (152), and Colson Elliott (132). Nick Hejke (145), Robert Willis (285), Calvin Williams (113), and Derrick Williams (106) each claimed titles for Moseley. Florida High got individual titles from Tyler Reeve (126) and Emil Ganim (138). Also claiming titles were Chase Maddox of South Walton (170) and David Mercado of North Bay Haven (195)
northwest (TN) claims the MTWOA Grand Championships over tullahoma
The Northwest girls scored 108 and Tullahoma finished 89 as the two teams battled it out for the top spot. Northwest crowned 3 individual champs: Shayra Calderon, Brette Spink, and Roseanna Vaughn. Tullahoma was led by Champs Divine Desilets and Katy Champion. Also claiming individual titles were Amanda Thomason of Cheatham Co. Central, Baylee Peterson of Independence, Rontaysia Payne of Dickson Co., Brielle Bissonette of Clarksville, Shelby Zacharias of Creek Wood, and Ariyanna Anderson of Creek Wood.
Palm Harbor holds off East Lake and Countryside to claim the 2021 PCAC title
Josh Hartley(106), Conner Reeves (113), Dylan Sparkman (126), Dalton Avery (132), Joseph Cuttitta (138), Alek Chitty (152), and Michael Cuttitta (160) each claimed Pinellas County Athletic Conference titles for Palm Harbor as they outdistanced themselves from runner-up East Lake and 3rd place Countryside. Ethan Mojena (145), Brian Burburija (170), and Nick Granata (182) each claimed titles for Countryside. Also taking the top step were Lowden Ward of Dixie Hollins (120), Maks Dimarov of East Lake (195), Maikeli Tuinakauvadra of Osceola Fundamental (220), and Jacquez McCrea of Lakewood (285).
Freedom Girls (FL) down Dr Phillips for the Greyhound Open title
Freedom easily outdistanced runner-up Dr Phillips to claim the Greyhound open title. South Dade was 3rd followed by Apopka, and Osceola. Kailey Rees (122), Trinity Arroyo-Nichols (147), and Sierra Chavez (184) claimed titles for the Patriots. Amber Etienne (222) claimed the lone title for runner-up Dr. Phillips. Natalie Duran (99), Larissa Gallo (154), and Yarissa Gallo (172) claimed title for South Dade. Other individual champions included: Fedline Joseph of Gateway, Assenach Gregoire of Apopka, Nehemie Gregoire of Apopka, Jada Llamido of Hagerty, Madyson Blackburn of Clay, Analy Picado of Braddock, and Tiana Marcillo of University Orlando.
Memphis University holds off Houston and Arlington to claim the BCS Dawg Fight title
Catcher Miller, Ian McGehee, Christian Howard, and Dion Stutts each claimed titles for Memphis U. Owen Zuckerman and Colby Baltz claimed titles for Houston as they held off Arlington for second. Also claiming individual titles were Kaleb Reaume and Jacob Roaten of Arlington, Steven Dindl of Bartlett, Wemawamungu Moktani, Christian Perez Jr and Gavin Haynes of Munford, Joshua Taube of St. George`s, and Jackson Wells of Brentwood Academy.
