Tennessee’s Phillip Simpson has been selected for the EIWA Hall of Fame - Phillip Simpson was a Tennessee state wrestling champion competing for his secondary school, Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville. He was the first wrestler in Tennessee history to win the state wrestling championship four times.
Mount Olive downs Queens 22-21. The Queens University of Charlotte men's wrestling team (1-4; 0-1 SACC) lost its home opener to Mount Olive (1-0; 1-0 SACC) in a back-and-forth battle by a 22-21 final score. The Royals held an eight point advantage entering the final two matches, but surrendered nine consecutive points to fall short in the South Atlantic Conference Carolinas opener.
Belmont Abbey downs Newberry 20-16. The Belmont Abbey wrestling team captured their first win of the season earning the 20-16 victory over Newberry. The win is the first for the Crusades over the wolves in program history. The Abbey is now 1-1 overall with a 1-0 South Atlantic Conference Carolinas record. Newberry moves to 0-1.

King downs Emmanuel 25-15. The 24th-ranked Tornado won three matches via bonus points Wednesday night as they topped Emmanuel College in their South Atlantic Conference Carolinas opener.
King Women down Emmanuel 44-2. The second-ranked King University women's wrestling kicked off their 2021-22 season Wednesday night with a huge win over ffith-ranked Emmanuel College. The Tornado won every match that was contested, including a two falls, five technical falls and a pair of forfeits.
