Gardendale edges Arab for the Alabama 5A-6A Title
When it was all said and done it came down to a Powe. Isaiah Powe’s pin of Jacob Holland was what finally put Gardendale ahead for good. Gardendale vs. Arab was a knock down, drag out affair for 3 days and it came to down the championship finals before Gardendale was able to finally pull ahead for good. Wetumpka and McAdory were in the hunt for the first day and a half, but slowly began to fall behind as each team began to lose point-getters.
As I have said - I plan to do a more detailed account of the tournament, but want to give the other states as much coverage (a Fan’s Guide) as I can.
