South Dade leads, but not by a ton over Ft Pierce Central and Southwest Miami. Osceola is in 4th, Riverdale is 5th, and Palm Harbor is 6th. It seems unlikely that Osceola, Riverdale or Palm Harbor will catch the top team, but they could still work their way into a top 3 finished.

South Dade has 9 wrestlers still alive - including 6 in the semis

Ft Pierce Central has 7 alive with 6 in the semis

Southwest Miami has 10 alive with 4 in the semis … the first round of consis will determine if SW or Ft Pierce have a shot to catch South Dade.

2A Team Race

It ain’t over and the fat lady isn’t even warming up yet. 2A is tight. Palmetto Ridge, Charlotte, and Lake Gibson each have 8 alive. Pametto Ridge and Charlotte have the edge in terms of points (74 vs. 69 vs. 61 for Lake Gibson) and in terms of wrestlers in the semis.

Palmetto Ridge has 5, Charlotte has 6, and Lake Gibson has 3. If each team gets 3 - this will come down to a wild ride on the backside. If Palmetto Ridge or Charlotte can get 4 or 5 - they will have control. It will be close, but they will have control heading into the consis. Lake Gibson must get all 5 that are in the consis into the next round to keep pace.

Jesuit has 5 in the semis, but very little depth after the 5 hammers. They will hang around, but I don’t think they have the horses to make a run at the top 3.

Palm Bay has 8 in the semis and 1 in the consis.

They will go head-to-head at a few weights. Diaz vs. Furman and Dinberg vs. Estevez are two off the top of my head. Whichever teams puts more into the finals will control their destiny.
