I want you to know that I received a response from the Assistant Director of Athletics at the FHSAA, Corey Sobers regarding my email. Here is how Mr. Sobers responded …
This obviously doesn’t resolve the issue, but it certainly sounds as if the FHSAA has heard from the wrestling community. I think it is fair to share their (the FHSAA’s) responses (when there are responses) in an effort to show the type of dialogue that might be happening.
I also know that there are a group of supporters that are currently working to get on the September Agenda in an effort to be certain these issues are not “sticking points” that cause further delay. If you choose to email any of the board of Directors - I encourage you to be thoughtful and purposeful in your comments. In my opinion, It is perfectly fine to ask why the delay has happened and how the FHSAA is being responsive to solving the issues. What we want to avoid is shutting down and productive conversation - no matter how frustrated we are.
