The Breakdown - Episode 25 - Dalrymple Claims a Junior Greco Title

Tennessee’s Dayne Dalrymple finished off a spectacular run through the 132 lb. Junior bracket to claim a stopsign. His win and Ashton Davis taking 4th at 220 pushed Tennessee to 12th overall. Dalrymple went 6-0, but had to really fight through a tough opening day - especially a tough first round match over Florida’s Braden Basile (10-9). His semifinal win over Nash Singleton looked “easier” as he won by a tech fall and then downed Nevada’s Anthony Anciete 4-0 in the finals. Dalrymple became Tennessee’s 6th overall Champ (all divisions and both styles) and their first Junior Greco Champ since Tommy Bracket won it in 2016 (Dayne is actually just Tennessee’s second overall Junior Greco Champ).

Florida put 3 on the podium as Ryan Cody finished 2nd at 195, Vincent Biondoletti was 5th at 100, and Tyler Washburn finished 8th at 106. Georgia’s Michael Kilic and RJ Weston rounded out the Junior All Americans from the Southeast. Kilic finished 8th at 152 and Weston was 3rd at 160. Weston put on an incredible run through the consolation bracket … he lost his opening match to the eventual champ and then won 10 in a row to take 3rd.
