Georgia Super 32 Early Entry Tournament - A First Glance
Just a quick look at those registered. Weights might change and I’m sure we will have no-shows, but this is what we have at the moment.
State by weight breakdown:
11 States Registered (Iowa, Illinois, and Michigan have 1 registered. Ohio has 2. Not surprising to see Georgia with the bul of those registered. North Carolina and Florida’s Super 32 EE tournament are next weekend so it is also not a surprise to see both with few numbers relative to the rest of the Southeast.
Grade by Weight breakdown:
Looking through this quickly … these are the things that stood out to me. I’m sure I missed someone - apologies. Only 2023 State finish is posted below.
Projected seeds are based on … 1) 2023 State Tournament finish and 2) last year’s place at this tournament
Also … I don’t know the Illinois, Ohio, etc. wrestlers … I’ve included the Louisiana wrestlers I know
98 lbs.
Lots of 8th graders in the mix here with Drennen and Mance to name just two. You also have 7A State Placer Quay Mills and younger brother Ariah Mills (7th grader) as well as fellow 7th grader Ashton Glasgow registered. Crue Powe of Alabama and Isaiah Waycaster of Tennessee are two from outside Georgia to watch.
Seeds should be:
Powe (3rd in AL 6A at 106)
Quay Mills (GA 7A Placer)
Random draw based on state results (although so many of these 7th and 8th graders that have likely crossed paths before)

Will Atkinson was an Alabama 7A State Qualifier last year at a 7th grader
Gabe Swann won a Georgia State Title in 4A and is a 3x Fargo All American
Samuel Comes won a Tennessee State Title in 1A last year for Seymour
Barrett Clayton was a Georgia 5A SQ for Jefferson and Tyler Prinzo was a GA 1A SQ for Pisgah
Keep an eye on freshmen Jekai Sedgwick out of Hoke County (NC) and Nathan Manos of Eastside (SC)
Your seeds should be:

Comes
Atkinson, Clayton, or Prinzo

Your seeds (in my opinion) should be (and BTW this isn’t the order I think they will finish … just order based on state place)
Marcum or Rozas (not sure if Rozas won a title last year or not in Louisiana - if not then Clarke becomes the 2 seed)
Marcum or Rozas
DJ Clarke - Clarke gets the higher seed over the other runners-up based on winning this event last year
