This might be year 1 of the official season for the AHSAA, but Carly Thomas has long been a standout in the state (and across the Southeast). She has won numerous “unofficial” state titles and has to be the favorite to be in the inaugural class of “official” champs this season - she is that good. Coach Sweatman is very high on his small group and has to be pleased with the leadership of Carly Thomas … having her around the younger athletes has to be invaluable. Keep an eye on 8th grader Rin Curtis … she has been working extremely hard and could surprise some people as an 8th grader in 2024. - SEWrestle
