We begin with Cam Stinson Jr. This is a state of the program about Mallard Creek, but Stinson is special and a little focus on the state’s best wrestler is due here. Stinson is a 3x State Champ and is unbeaten at 141-0. He has committed to the University of North Carolina and is a Fargo All American. He’s also a great young man and one that I’m sure Coach Barry is excited to lead his squad … not only because he is a great wrestler, but because of the other things he brings to the room. Mallard Creek finished 20th at the traditional state tournament and has an opportunity to push into the top 10 if the everything comes together. Dylan Drinkard qualified a yar ago at 113 and should be a formidable 1-2 punch with Stinson at 120 and 126. MC also returns State Qualifier Ayden Small … expect Stinson to be joined on the podium by Drinkard and Small at the end of the season. The return of Trey O’Connor is huge and could be what pushes Mallard Creek into the top 10. Mallard Creek will need to navigate the tough West Region, but look for Tyler Brown, Travis Foxx, Kamari Chislom, Isaac Marez, Deuce Midgett, and Jahmir El Amin Williams to all be looking to punch their ticket this season. Don’t be surprised to see Mallard Creek in the mix with State Champs, Placers, and a bevy of State Qualifiers. - SEWrestle
