There is a lot to like about this year’s edition of the LaFayette Ramblers. They lose State Placer Jacob Brown, but otherwise return a full squad that has high aspirations in 2024. 2023 State Placer Haygen Baker, 2022 State Placer Jacob Hamilton, and 2021 State Placer Braxton Beavers are part of a core that includes State Qualifiers Levi Ledford, Avery Davis, and Eli Hudson that have been to Macon previously and are looking to climb high on the podium in 2024. This squad is tough from top to bottom and should be pounding on the door of a top 5 finish. As Coach Thompson said in his quote “This year is about putting the best team LaFayette High School has had since the early 2010s” and that is true. Not only because of the hammers in the lineup, but also because of the depth. 3A in 2024 could be chaotic with a number of teams in the hunt … if LaFayette is going to be one of them they need Dalton Griffin, Gabe Warren, and the top of their lineup (Kendrick, Cigalina, Hamilton, and Johnson) to parlay their sectional experience into a spot in Macon. If that happens … LaFayette will be right there with an opportunity the final weekend of the season. Keep an eye on Isaac Hamilton, Kobin Osborn, and Spencer Chadwick … they will look to make some noise in 2024. - SEWrestle
