Madison Baxter has been the steadying force for Pepperell for years … she is now gone and the torch passes to sophomore state qualifier Gabby Waddell. Waddell went 2-2 at the 2023 State Tournament and will look to take the next step and climb onto the podium in 2024. She is joined by returner Malia Minter who just missed punching her ticket to Macon last year. Pepperell has few to keep an eye on … a pair of freshmen in Melany Islas and Lizbeth Velasquez, a pair of sophomores in Kelsey Campbell and Makaylee McCrary, and senior Katie Hennon. It will be interesting to see how this team continues to progress through the 23-24 season. - SEWrestle
