Middleburg finished 23rd at the Traditional State Tournament in 2023 and bowed out of the state duals after losing to eventual runners-up Fleming Island. The Broncos are right on the cusp of really pushing into the conversation in 2A. Wyatt Leduc, Grady Woodard, and Tucker Cody all won matches in Kissimmee, but came up just short of making the podium. Expect that to change in 2024 as each is hunting a spot high on the podium this season. Middleburg does lose State Placer Logan Moore, but the depth of this squad is solid. Dylan Johns and Daniel Raines both have post-season experience and will look to punch their ticket in 2024. The Broncos should have at minimum 4 qualifiers and 3 placers and that should put them in the top 15 in 2A. Whether they climb higher will depend on how well Michael Miceli, Parker Richards, Sean Blouin, David Hall, Seth Straub, and Porter Loveland wrestle. Keep an eye on the bottom of the lineup where Middleburg could be especially good with young hammers Gavin Fisher (freshman) and Bryce Jourdan (sophomore) at 106 and Michael Miceli (sophomore) and Nate Harvey (freshman) at 113. - SEWrestle
