The momentum around girls wrestling and the building of girls programs in North Carolina only continues to gain steam. Parkwood has 5 ladies in the lineup ready to scrap in 21-22. Keep an eye on Savannah Bramhall, Aurora Efird, Averi Lavoie, Mariel Mayo-Perez, and Marissa De La Cruz as they look to claim a girls title in 2022 and push the Parkwood program to the top in North Carolina.
“We are very excited about the continued growth of our girl’s wrestling program. The goal is to build off our state tournament performance from last year. There is a good buzz around our school already about it so we’re hopeful for a good turn out this season. We are trying to build a very competitive schedule. We are hosting our own individual tournament on 11/20 and also going to Holy Angles, Rock Hill’s Bearcat invitational, and Mallard Creek’s tourney. We also have some duals scheduled this season with Rock Hill SC, and Hoke County in hopes to generate even more excitement about women’s wrestling. ”
