Currituck County (NC)

Head Coach: Mike Fisher (entering 5th season)

Staff: Don Ashby

The Knights finished 2nd in 2A East in 2021 (and 21st at the 2A State Tournament). The return the bulk of their hammers do lose State Placer Samuel Hodge and State Qualifier Noah Walker to graduation. The Knight also make the jump to 3A East in 21-22 … and the more we look at who has moved up and moved down - the more that you have to be impressed with the depth of 3A for the coming seasons. Currituck has 2 Seniors - Willie Toliver and Cole Hampton returning and they will lead a group of 6 returning State Qualifiers that are all either Juniors or Sophomores.

Matthew Lieberman and Jeffery Klugh both qualified last year as sophomores and Marshall Cooper, Jacob Bennett, Ethan Binckley, and Brooke Zac qualified as freshmen. This team should be a force in 3A East in 2022 and for years to come. Keep an eye on David Saunders, Austin Taylor, Dalton Gay, Grayson Richardson, and River Houck as well as Jordan Toliver and Eli Binckley - if the Knights can get some of them to make an impact in 2022 - this team could be tough to deal with.

The team is looking good early on, with 6 returning state qualifiers we have a solid group of freshman that should mix well with the current team we have. We fill all weight classes and the team is looking to build off of last year and continue to build and grow as a unit.
