Head Coach: Danny Vazquez (entering 1st season)
Moody returns in 2021-22 led by Seniors Cory Land, Ryan Summerlin, Owen Moore, and Matthew McDonald. Land, the University of North Iowa commit, will look to claim his 5th individual state title in 2022. Summerlin has been on the podium, but finished off the top step a year ago. Both McDonald and Moore won multiple matches in Huntsville and will look to climb onto the podium in 2022. It will be interesting to see how the non-seniors compete this season. Erius Clark and Skyler Gomer each won matches in Huntsville and will look to make an impact … but for Moody to climb into the team race they will need some others to step up. Keep an eye on Caleb Griffin, William Farley, Grant Long, and Brynn Jenkins.
“We should have a solid team next year that will be lead by a tough group of seniors. This team has the ability to turn some heads this upcoming season. The team could turn out to resemble the Moody team that won a state title a couple of years ago.”
