2023-2024

Returners (Grade):

  • No roster provided

We didn’t get a roster so not sure who returns and who does not. We do know that Jackson County graduates two of their hammers in State Champions Raven Cook and Lilly Chavis. Cook and Chavis have been the face of the Jackson County women’s team for the last several years and replacing them isn’t going to happen overnight. Heidi Halcomb and Alina Jurovschi could return (both wrestled at the Area 8 tournament last year), but without a lineup it is hard to know how good Jackson County will be this season. - SEWrestle

What a difference a year makes. One year ago - the Villa Rica women’s team had yet to take the mat. Now they roll deep with a solid squad from top to bottom that is headlined by 2023 freshman state qualifier Sanae Vaughns. Posh Daniel also returns with post-season experience, but as a whole this is still a young squad with still a lot of growing to do. Will they take those steps in 2023-2024? If the answer is yes, then they have an opportunity to enter the conversation … otherwise they could still be a year away. - SEWrestle

State of the Program - Lakeside Evans Girls (GA)

Coaching Staff:

Dillon Typhair (3rd Year)

  • Eric Proce (4th Year)

  • Jim Painter (5th Year)

  • Cole Norsworthy (3rd year)

  • Johnny Gil (1st year)

2023 Recap:

  • Finished 48th at the Traditional State Tournament

Individuals:

  • Tessa Lopardo - 6th at 130

Graduated:

2023-2024

Returners (Grade):

  • 100-105 Chloe Foster - 11

  • 115-120 Savannah DelMastro - 10

  • 120-125 Aeda Ki - 11

  • 130-135 Tessa Lopardo - 12

Slow and steady growth as Coach Typhair describes above is the most apt description of the Lakeside Evans squad. Tessa Lopardo has established herself as one of the top 130 lbers in the state and will look to cap off her prep career with a state title … she would become the first ever Girls State Champion from Lakeside! Coach Typhair has to be excited about the return of Aeda Ki who missed last season due to injury. Ki has a ton of experience and will be an important piece of the puzzle this season. Keep an eye on Chloe Foster and Savannah DelMastro as the program continues to build. - SEWrestle
