Weekend Recap Dec 18th-19th

Camden (GA) holds off Somerset (FL) to claim the 47th Annual Bill Scott Title

Daniel Fredericks, Matt Morton, and Kaleb Clark each claimed titles for Camden, but it was the backside points that helped the Georgia power hold off Somerset for the title. Somerset had 5 Champs (including Bas Diaz down at 145), but couldn’t keep the pace with the number the Camden put on the podium for 3rd and 4th. Winter Springs was 3rd followed by the Master’s Academy, and Carrollwood.

Southwest Miami (FL) downed fellow 3A power Riverdale 46-18 to claim the Storm 6-way Duals

SW Miami looked extremely tough and showed why they are the #2 dual team in 3A with convincing wins over Flagler Palm Coast (52-18) and Riverdale. It was nice to see Danny Martinez back in the SW Miami lineup at 120 (will we get to see him at the Knockout in a week and a half?).

Social Circle beats Cass and South Gwinnett to claim the Gorilla Warfare VII Title

Braydon Mitchell and Connor Castillo were the only two Redskins to claim individual titles, but SC got it done on the backside with nearly all of the wrestlers finding a spot on the podium. Cass had 5 individual Champs (and Cole Hunt wasn’t even in the lineup), but couldn’t make up for missing wrestlers at 106, 132, and 160.

Palm Bay (FL) runs away with the Corey Hill Memorial Title at Springstead

Oglethorpe County (GA) held off a tough challenge from Greenbrier, Loganville, and Archer to claim the Red Devil Rumble Title

Oglethorpe Coutny crowned 4 individual champs compared to 2 from each Greenbrier and Loganville to claim the team title. Archer only brought 7, but had 2 champs as well as putting the other 5 somewhere in the top 4.

Braden River (FL) wins the Bradenton Battle over Lakewood Ranch and Bayshore

Braden River crowned 4 individual champs, but it was the fact that all 12 wrestlers they brought ended up on the podium that pushed them to the team title. Travis Ference and Ranson Coons helped Lakewood Ranch stay close, but they couldn’t match the depth of Braden River and ended up 2nd. Bayshore was 3rd followed by Wiregrass Ranch, and First Baptist (Naples).

Greenbrier (GA) crowned 3 individual Champs to claim the Lady Panther Invitational Title
