Florida Super 32 EE Tourney - Girls Results

Osceola High School welcomed wrestlers from all over the Southeast for the Super 32 Early Entry Tournament this past Saturday in Kissimmee, Florida. As has been typical of this tournament in previous years, some weight classes were very deep. Brackets.

98 lbs.

  1. Evelyn Holmes-Smith

  2. Ana Bradshaw

  3. Kealonie Vega

  4. Mary Manis

Seeds:

  1. Armani Mills

  2. Kealonie Vega

  3. Ana Bradshaw

  4. Natalie Duran

What happened: Two weeks in a row Evelyn-Holmes Smith has not been seeded heading into a Super 32 Early Entry Tournament. Last week in Georgia she finished 3rd … this week she took out top-seed Armani Mills in the first round, then beat the 4 seed Duran in the semis before pinning 3rd seed Ana Bradshaw in the finals. The girls in Alabama and across the Southeast have been put on notice. Bradshaw pinned Vega in the bottom semis. Vega had a nice 6-2 decision over Mills in the consi semis and then a 41 second fall over Manis to take 3rd.

103 lbs.

  1. Sophia Anderson

  2. Nadia Ayers

  3. Loreli Weider

  4. Victoria Herrera

Seeds:

  1. Sophia Anderson

  2. Victoria Herrera

  3. Nadia Ayers

  4. Wydra Loreli

What happened: Sophia Anderson came in as the top seed and left no doubt that she was the best at 103. She pinned Weider in 2:12 in the opening round, had a forfeit and then pinned 3 seed Nadia Ayers by 54 seconds in the finals. Ayers downed Kori Watson in the bottom semis. Weider bounced back from her opening round loss to Anderson to finish 3rd.

108 lbs.

  1. Jasmine Godinez

  2. Teigan Slauson

  3. Kyla Oliver

  4. Arden Swindle

Seeds

  1. Savanna Huckelberry

  2. Kyla Oliver

  3. Arden Swindle

  4. Jasmine Godniez

What happened: So I will be the first to admit I don’t know many of the girls competing, but if you hit my radar - then you have to really pretty good. Jasmine Godinez as a 2A State Qualifier in Florida (there currently is no girls division) is a proven commodity. To see her seeded 4th meant to me that the others were more credentialed in Freestyle (or something). But Godinez proved everyone wrong - pinning Kowitski in the 1st round, pinning top seed Huckelberry in 59 seconds in the top semi and then pinning Slauson at 3:25 in the finals (to be fair the final was very close before Godinez got the fall). Oliver fell to Slauson in the bottom semi and battled back for 3rd.

123 lbs.

  1. Angelyn Glazier

  2. Emma Jefferies

  3. Paris Martinez

  4. Janecia Rayna

Seeds:

  1. Juliana Diaz

  2. Shakira Townsend

  3. Paris Martinez

  4. Janecia Rayna

What happened: So neither of the top two seeds finished in the top 4 … which is a bit unusual. Juliana Diaz came from an unseeded spot to claim the title - pinning 3 seed Martinez (she was down 9-3 when she got the fall), then pinned Jefferies in the bottom semis before beating fellow unseeded wrestler Shakira Townsend in the finals. Martinez stormed back to take 3rd after losing early to Diaz … she pinned top seed Glazier in 52 seconds and then pinned Rayna in 1:09.

130 lbs.

  1. Olivia Richie

  2. Julia Ferreira

  3. Madyson Harris

What happened: Round robin with Richie easily winning both of her matches.

139 lbs.

  1. Jada Llamido

  2. Iris Feliz

  3. Gabriella Perez

  4. Josie Sagasser

Seeds

  1. Jada Llamido

  2. Iris Feliz

  3. Megan Dathe

  4. Gabriella Perez

What happened: The results went pretty much according to the seeds … with top seed Llamido downing 2 seed Feliz in the finals. Llamido and Feliz both wrestled well to get to the finals and in back and forth final Llamido got the fall after leading 5-4. 4 seed Gabriella Perez bounced back from her loss to Llamido in the semis to down 3 seed Dathe in the consi semis and then Sagasser in the consi finals.

160 lbs.

  1. Jennah Mustafa

  2. Layla Cirino

What happened: Mustafa won both matches (best 2 of 3). Pinning Cirino in 3:33 in the first match and then winning 9-2 in the second.
