I believe, that technically, this is the first year of an official North Carolina Girls State Tournament. Regardless Lumberton graduated no one from last year’s squad that finished on top and they will look to do that again in 2024. Both Canady and Oxendine finished 2nd and will look to claim the top step in 2024. Kylie Brigman, who is a rising Senior, was unable to wrestle last season but has put in a lot of work in her time off and this off season. Don’t be surprised to see her make an immediate impact in 2024. - SEWrestle
