You want a team that’s going to be sneaky good … someone that maybe not everyone is talking about, but will be by February? Prattville Christian is that team for me in Alabama 1A-4A. They come in #7 in our pre-pre-season power ranking is 1A-4A, but this is a squad that can climb much higher … they have a high ceiling largely because of who they return. Aidan Cockrell was 2nd in 2023 and Brody Pugh was 3rd … both are seniors that will look to finish their prep careers on the top step. AND … that would be a first. PCA, from what I’ve been able to find, has never had an individual state champion. But this team is much more than 2 wrestlers … Matthew Post is another Senior that has state tournament experience and will look to climb onto the podium as well. Add in Brysen Pugh who qualified as a freshman in 2023 and you have a solid core. Spencer Perkins, Carter Copeland, and David Tubbs-Hill all have post-season experience as well and will look to punch their ticket to Huntsville. PCA comes in with some outstanding individuals … don’t be surprised if they finish the year as an outstanding team. - SEWrestle
