Coach Downing has the numbers … the Houston County girls program has exploded in terms of interest. The next step is putting the pieces together for a run to Macon. Seniors Riley Flickinger and Alahyah Grayson both just missed punching their ticket a year ago. Both have post-season experience and will be called on to lead the Lady Bears in 2023-2024. Several on the roster have been competing since the high school season ended in February and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Houston County turn some heads this coming season.
