Mt Pleasant returns the most points in 2A and should be considered amongst the favorites to take home the title in 2024. This team is seasoned with a ton of experience and has two exceptional leaders in returning State Champ David McEachern and State Runner-up Colt Kluttz. McEachern will look to claim his 3rd title and Kluttz looks to finish his prep career on the top step. But Mt Pleasant is much more than just two outstanding seniors. They return 3 others placers (Gue, Hammac, and Almond) as well as state qualifier Jacob Reigel. And those four will be huge in determining whether Pleasant takes home the title in 2024 or not. If each can climb high on the podium - then Pleasant will be tough to beat. Don’t be surprised if senior Evan Sifford, Dalton Barbee, John Glenn, and Ayden Smith all play important roles … the four will look to punch their ticket in 2024 and help propel this team to a title. Keep an eye on a pair of sophomores in Tanner Wagoner and Jacob McCoy as well as freshman Lukas Allmon. - SEWrestle
