St John Paul II will be excellent in spots in their lineup. Like other smaller schools - they may struggle at a few weights with some new faces, but the core of this team is as good as anyone in 1A-4A. The Falcons return all 5 State Qualifiers from the 2023 team that finished 13th at the Traditional State Tournament. Jack Von Escenbach was 2nd in 2023 and will look to climb back to the top of the podium in his senior campaign. He is joined by fellow senior and state qualifier Andy Maroyka … the two should will likely lead the way this season. Xavier Escorpizo made the podium as an 8th grader and Ben Santy was 3rd as a sophomore … both have the ability to climb higher on the podium in 2024. If the Falcons can get Andy Maroyka and Julian Lowe onto the podium and Christian Mayorka, Mateo Jimenez and others through to the big dance … this team could make some noise in Huntsville. Keep an eye on Luke Santy, Parker Kummer down low, Jaeson Bucio in the middle the following trio up top … Seniors Matthew Heilinger and John Byers as well as freshman Logan Roth. This should be an exciting season for the Falcons with a lot of potential to make heir mark in 1A-4A. - SEWrestle
