State of the Program ... Waccamaw (SC)

Waccamaw (SC)

Waccamaw qualified Ryan Gallagher a year ago for the 3A State Tournament and Coach Williams has to expect many more Warriors at the state tournament in 2022. Aaron Sellers transferred from Socastee and should make a huge impact. Sophomores Isaiah Cobbler (138-145) and Phoenix Sauter (120-126) both started last year as freshmen, and will look to make a huge impact in 2022. Jackson Mattox, 285 lb. junior, finished 3rd in the Region and should be a force in 21-22 as well.

Waccamaw also has region champs Stacy Wilson and Colin Beaver returning. If Coach Williams can get those 7 in the mix and add a few others to fill the line-up … Waccamaw should be tough to beat in 2022.

Ryan Gallagher is our dog. He finished 1st in our region, 3rd in the lower state. He was losing 0-9 in the 1st round, and fought back to lose a close 11-9 match. Ryan is a Junior. Watch for returning Region Champions, senior, Stacy Wilson at 145 and sophomore Colin Beaver at 106.
