Model returns nearly all of their point-getters from last year’s squad and should be even better in 2021-2022. The Blue Devils return State Placers Noah Allmon - 3rd last year 138 as a sophomore - and Kalan Woods - 5th at 160 as a junior. Allmon and Woods will look to lead a number of Blue Devils onto the podium in 2022.
Jonah Houston, Byron Clarke, Rylee Kines, and Anthone Williams each won a match (or more) at the 2021 2A State Tournament and will look to make a push for the podium n 2022. This is a team that has a nice distribution of talent across the grade levels and should continue to get better as 2021-2022 rolls along and into 2022-2023 as well.
“We are returning 9 state qualifiers from this past season. We will be looking to those young men for leadership and toughness. We were young last year and now have a year of experience to continue to build on and looking forward to a strong season.”
