State of the Program ... Coral Springs Charter (FL)

Coral Springs Charter (FL)

Head Coach: Erik Perez (entering 3rd season)

Staff: Pete Derstine, Stefan Silver

CSC finished 25th in 1A a year ago and although they lose several to graduation and State Placer Michael Mocco to transfer - the Panthers should be back in the mix again in 2022-23. Peter Mocco, Jaiden Valentin, Preston Lindsay, Hunter Perez, and Keon Taylor all won matches in a tough 1A Region 4 a year ago and each will look to take that next step and punch their ticket to Kissimmee this season. Eduard Shmandura, Logan Bosworth and Brayden Derstine have been working extremely hard this off-season and will play key roles in the teams success this season.

Keep an eye on Abundant Life Christian Academy transfer Elijah Perez who could make some noise down low for the Panthers this season. Owyn Vargas and Simon Sanchez also return. CSC has to run the gauntlet of 1A Region 4, but they have several hammers in the lineup and will look to break into the top 15-20 in 2023.

Coach Perez and CSC return a solid squad that will look to make some noise in Class 1A this season. They do lose State Placer Michael Mocco to transfer and Griffin Perko, Brock Wilson, Andrew Lustigman and Hannah Mader to graduation. However, they return a solid squad that could be even better in 2022-2023. Keon Taylor, Preston Lindsay and Hunter Perez will lead the way and they all should be hunting a spot to go to the State tournament this season. Peter Mocco- a 7th Grader with a ton of experience and Elijah Perez a transfer should both make some noise this season.
