Enloe (NC)

Enloe is a young team that keeps getting better. The 2021-2022 squad had no Juniors or Seniors that competed at the regional or state tournaments … it was dominated by sophomores and a freshman. Elliott Hollis (sophomore 170) and Aaron Hollis (freshman 220) each finished 2nd in the 4A East Region Tournament and qualified for the state tournament … both should be hunting the podium in 2022.

The key for Enloe is the continued development of the Juniors that competed at the 4A East Tournament. Bradley Muse and Grady Mock probably lead the way, but for Enloe to continue their upward trajectory they will look for Karuna Das, Connor Graham, Jose Olvera-Garcia, and Savior Teasley to make an impact in 2021-22. The return of Senior Christian Sheppard (who missed last year due to injury) would be huge for this young squad.

“Win or lose, Wrestle” is the creed of the Enloe High School wrestling program. We are looking forward to another successful season through hard work and passion for a sport that teaches each and every athlete how to get past adversity. I teach the student-athletes that when times get hard you must focus on the objective and remember that as long as you give your best no one count you out. The expectations are to get at least 4 wrestlers to the State Tournament and at least one State placer.
