Coach McMath has quite the squad. This team has been amongst the best in Florida, regardless of class, for years and will look to defend their 1A titles in 2024. That said, they lose some serious firepower and will look to some new faces if they are going to take the crown again in 2024. The core is still outstanding with Sebastian Degennaro, one of the best juniors in the state, as well as State Placers Ben Norris and Gian Ortiz and State Qualifiers Mikel Pierce-Walker and Tobby Rooney. From 120-138 Jensen Beach is going to be tough to beat … all have t he ability to be wrestling for an individual state title. But you don’t lose 3 State Champs and 3 others State Placers and not be impacted by their departure. That doesn’t mean JB will take a step back, but it does mean others have opportunity to step up. Coach McMath will look to Viens and Walker to solidify the bottom of the lineup and then turn to Blake Walker, Jeff Bobo, Jyce Auzenne, Brayden Peters, Ace Amergian, and Brayden Hogg in the middle. That group will determine how high Jensen Beach climbs in 2024. Returning State Qualifier Tobby Rooney pairs with Teagen Nelson and Blake Elder to lock down the top. Jensen Beach will be good in 2024 … we just don’t know how good quite yet. - SEWrestle
