The Lassiter Trojans return a solid squad that will look to push to the top of 6A in 2024. Hoshide, McElligot, and Brickley make up a trio of hammers for Coach Brickley down low. All three made the podium in 2024 with McElligot claiming a title at 113. All three have their sights set on the top step in 2024. Add in Casey McElligot at 106, freshman Jax Brickley at 126-132, Evan Diaz at 132-138 and freshman Cash Prado at 132-138 and the Trojan will be solid at the bottom of their lineup. Coach Brickley does lose State Qualifiers Samuel Gadsden and Jacobee Connell who were important pieces in the middle of the lineup last year. Alex Johnson and Dom Fiorenza both qualified for the sectional tournament in 2023 and both will be looking to punch their ticket to Macon … they will secure two of the spots in the middle of this lineup. Mark Keith and Jayden Sylvain will be called on to shore up the other spots. Up top Lassiter has two returning wrestlers with sectional experience as well in Brody Brantley and Vic Esclusa … both will look to make some noise as well in 2024. Make no mistake … Lassiter’s strength is down low. They can go toe-to-toe with anyone at the bottom of the lineup … the question is whether the top of the lineup can help the Trojans to the top in 2024. - SEWrestle
