Jensen Beach dominates on their way to a 1A State Duals Title

Jensen Beach might have had their toughest dual prior to the trip to Kissimmee … not to say that Mater Lakes, Suwannee, and Zephyrhills Christian weren’t tough (or worthy in anyway), but the Falcons Round of 16 match against Cardinal Gibbons was a barnburner. On that saw JB win by 11 points in a dual that went back and forth. In Kissimmee, Jensen Beach controlled each dual - they downed Mater Lakes 42-25 and Suwannee 49-19 before getting Zephyrhills Christian in the finals.

Nate Sopotnick put Jensen Beach up on a forfeit at 195 to begin the dual before Zephyrhills Christian won a wild one at 220 - a 7-6 decision by Elijah Austin. ZC added a forfeit to go up 9-6 before Jensen Beach took over. Ben Norris added 3 points at 106 with a 11-5 decision over Reid Yakes to tie the dual at 9 and then Gian Ortiz, Sebastian Degennaro, and Ryan Mooney added falls to push JB up 27-9. Charlie Armstrong downed Talon Maple 5-1 before Landon Holley beat Mike Pierce-Walker to give Zephyrhills Christian their last points of the dual with Jensen Beach leading 30-12. Jewell Williams and Dylan Fox added 9 more points to put the dual out of reach with 3 matches remaining. Jensen Beach would end up winning the last three individual matches and claim the 1A title with a 57-12 win.
