Lake Gibson 71, Lyman 9

The defending champs rolled to open their quest for another title. The “Gib” had 2 falls and a technical fall before losing by injury default at 126 where Luke Nilles took the win over Gaetano Tedesco. Christian Fretwell added 6 for Gibson before Lyman would get their last points of the night with an 8-6 decision win by Cameron Popeck over Jerry Ware at 144. Talon Figueron got an injury deault win at 150 over Jackson Fredrickson and the upperweights of Gibson tallied 5 falls and a forfeit to push Gibson through to the next round.


Winter Springs 65, Gateway 6

Winter Springs and Gateway traded wins in the opening two matches with Zavian Chavoz getting a fall for Winter Springs at 106 and Worrell Logan getting a tough 5-4 decision over Trenton Smith at 113. From there it was all Winter Springs. Kalob Williams, Jacob Rivera, and Ayden Keys had falls, Ryan Phillips, Jaydon Robinson and Preston Evans got technical falls and Jayden Robles won a tough 7-6 decision over Jose Davalillo 7-6 at 132. Meison Broche broke the string of wins with an 11-4 win at 165 for Gateway, but Winter Springs finished it out with 3 falls and a 20-5 technical fall to win 65-6 and advance to meet Lake Gibson with a spot in the Elite 8 on the line.
