Another year of one of the toughest pre-season duals in the United States has come and gone. Ranked matchups and top high school wrestlers from all over the country arrived in Atlanta to do battle over the weekend. Let’s look at how the 2023 Elite 8 duals shook out.

 

 
 

Pool A

10 am

Minion Legends vs. Roundtree Wrestling

Minion Legends would face off against fellow southeast team Roundtree Wrestling in the first dual of pool play. This was as tight as tight can be. Minion has been a travel team out of Georgia for several years, but now is ran by Sean and Codi Russell in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Roundtree is run out of Hoschton, Georgia and has had a lot of success since coach Sammy Roundtree opened its doors. Roundtree would jump out to a 6-0 lead with back-to-back decision wins at 100 pounds and 106 pounds, before JoJo Uhorchuk (Minion Legends) would tech fall DJ Clarke (Roundtree) 18-2 at 113 pounds to bring the score to 6-5. Roundtree would then grab another pair of close decision wins, with Antonio Mills (Roundtree) defeating Ethan Uhorchuk (Minion Legends) via a tight 3-2 decision at 120 pounds, before Jake Crapps (Roundtree) defeated John Stewart (Minion Legends) in another tight 9-8 decision at 126 pounds to bring the score to 12-5 in favor of Roundtree. Cooper Hilton (Minion Legends) would narrowly defeat Logan Swenson (Roundtree) via 5-4 decision at 132 pounds to bring the score to 12-8. At 138 pounds Landon Robideau (Minion Legends) would pin Blue Stiffler (Roundtree) to give Minion their first lead of the dual 14-12. The lead wouldn’t last long as the very next match at 145 pounds Jaxon Joy (Roundtree) would tech fall Logan Paradice (Minion Legends) 19-3 to regain the lead for Roundtree 19-12. Minion would pickup a tight 2-1 decision win at 152 pounds as Leo Contino (Minion Legends) defeated Ty Wilson (Roundtree) to bring the score to 19-15, before Latrell Schafer (Minion Legends) would major Kendrick Hodge (Roundtree) 11-1 to tie the dual at 19 each. Dominic Bambinelli (Roundtree) would knock off Gunner Holland (Minion Legends) via an 8-2 decision at 170 pounds to give Roundtree the lead once again 22-19. Ryder Wilder (Roundtree) would pin Jake Stacy (Minion Legends) to extend the Roundtree lead at 182 pounds, before Landon Jones (Minion Legends) at 195 pounds would grab a close decision over Gunner Henry (Roundtree) 5-4 to keep Minion in the dual. Aaron Riner (Roundtree) would grab yet another close decision over Denarii Michel (Minion Legends) via 8-5 decision, leading to the final match at heavyweight. With Roundtree in the lead 29-24, Minion would have to pick up the pin to edge out their southeast counterparts, and that’s exactly what happened. Aden Attao (Minion Legends) would pin Jesse Batten (Roundtree) at the 2:56 mark to clinch the tight 30-29 dual for Minion Legends. This dual really showed how good wrestling is in the south. Congratulations to both teams on a great showing.

 

Dynasty vs. Team Thunder

While Minion Legends and Roundtree Wrestling were battling it out, Dynasty and Team Thunder were having a banger of their own. Dynasty would start the dual win a close 6-5 decision win at 100 pounds by Caleb Noble (Dynasty) over PJ Terranova (Team Thunder) to go up 3-0. Team Thunder would immediately respond to take the lead at 106 pounds when John McGinty (Team Thunder) would major Caden Correll (Dynasty) 11-2 to take a 4-3 lead. Dynasty would then rip off four straight wins beginning with Dom Munaretto (Dynasty) majoring Matt O’Neil (Team Thunder) 14-1      at 113 pounds, Seth Mendoza (Dynasty) defeating Keanu Dillard (Team Thunder) via 9-4 decision at 120 pounds, Jax Forrest (Dynasty) majoring Eren Sement (Team Thunder) 10-1, and Bo Bassett (Dynasty) tech falling Nick O’Neil (Team Thunder) 21-3 at 132 pounds to take a commanding 19-4 lead. Team Thunder would get back on track at 138 pounds with Tahir Perkins (Team Thunder) tech falling Tyler Harrill (Dynasty) 18-3 to bring the score to 19-9. At 145 pounds Team Thunder would close the gap even more when August Hibler (Team Thunder) would pin Lorenzo Alston (Dynasty) to bring the score to 19-15. Dynasty would respond at 152 pounds as Andrew Barbosa (Dynasty) would major Jaydon Robinson (Team Thunder) 12-1 to extend Dynasty’s lead. Team Thunder would pick up back-to-back major decisions at 160 and 170 pounds as Darious Marines (Team Thunder) defeated Riley Johnson (Dynasty) 19-6, and Ryan Burton (Team Thunder) defeated Carson Thomas (Dynasty) 10-2 to bring the score to a deadlock of 23-23. Team Thunder would take the lead 26-23 at 182 pounds when Cole Han Lindemeyer (Team Thunder) defeated Cade Ziola (Dynasty) via 11-6 decision. Dynasty would respond and tie the dual once again at 26 when at 195 pounds Eugenio Franco (Dynasty) defeated Ryland Whitworth (Team Thunder) via sudden victory 4-1. Tied at 26 all going into the 220-pound match, Dynasty would pick up a crucial pin to take the lead once again 32-26 when Noah Wenzel (Dynasty) pinned Bryce Phillips (Team Thunder). In the 285-pound match, Team Thunder had to get the pin to bring it to a tie and look at criteria being down 32-2, but even with the 7-0 decision win by Spencer Lanosga (Team Thunder) over Parker Ferrell (Dynasty) it wasn’t enough. Dynasty would narrowly edge Team Thunder 32-29 in yet another tight dual.

 

Poway vs. Scarlet Knights

Poway would go on a run to begin the dual with Brayden Wenrich (Poway) pinning Gabe Easy (Scarlet Knights) at 100 pounds, Arseni Kikiniou (Poway) defeating Eli Hattaway (Scarlet Knights) via decision 8-4 at 106 pounds, Devin Bobzien (Poway) defeating Bradley Patterson (Scarlet Knights) via decision 9-7 at 113 pounds, and Edwin Sierra (Poway) tech falling Mason Moody (Scarlet Knights) 19-3 to grab an early 17-0 lead over the Scarlet Knights. The Knights would respond at 126 pounds with Vinnie Paino (Scarlet Knights) defeating Billy Townson (Poway) via sudden victory 6-3 to bring the score to 17-3. Poway would grab another 3 points when Elias Navida (Poway) would narrowly edge Casen Roark (Scarlet Knights) at 132 pounds via 1-0 decision to extend their lead 20-3. Poway would grab an additional 6 points at 138 pounds when Paul Kelly (Poway) pinned J`Veion Redmon (Scarlet Knights) to extend their lead once again to 26-3. The Scarlet Knights would stay in the dual with Ryan Ford (Scarlet Knights) tech falling Jack Estevez (Poway) 19-1 at 145 pounds, before Zach Ballante (Scarlet Knights) defeated Laird Root (Poway) at 152 pounds via 5-2 decision to bring the score to 26-11 in favor of Poway. Brandon Dean (Scarlet Knights) would grab a forfeit win at 160 pounds and brought the score to 26-17. Poway would once again grab four straight weights to essentially secure the dual when at 170 pounds Dom Dotson (Poway) would major Xander Dossett (Scarlet Knights) 11-3, Angelo Posada (Poway) would major Kaleb Jackson (Scarlet Knights) 10-0 at 182 pounds, Colin Finney (Poway) would pin Josh Lange (Scarlet Knights) at 195 pounds, and Robert Platt (Poway) would pick up the forfeit win at 220 pounds to bring the score to 46-17. In the final match of the dual the Scarlet Knights kept fighting. Daniel Herrera (Scarlet Knights) would tech fall Adam Farha (Poway) 19-3 to bring the final score to 46-22 giving Poway the win.

 

12pm

Poway vs. Roundtree Wrestling

Kicking off the 12pm slot was Poway and Roundtree Wrestling. Poway had a dominant 46-22 win in the opening round, while Roundtree dropped a tight dual to Minion Legends 30-29. Roundtree would start off with a 3-0 lead after Brandon Bickerton (Roundtree) defeated Brayden Wenrich (Poway) via 8-6 decision at 100 pounds, before Poway immediately took the lead away at 106 pounds when Arseni Kikiniou (Poway) majored Austin Bickerton (Roundtree) 15-4 to take the one-point lead. Poway would extend their lead at 113 pounds when Devin Bobzien (Poway) defeated DJ Clark (Roundtree) via 5-0 decision to go up 7-3. Roundtree would then win three straight decisions to take the 12-7 lead after Antonio Mills (Roundtree) defeated Edwin Sierra (Poway) via 2-1 decision at 120 pounds, Jake Crapps (Roundtree) defeated Billy Townson (Poway) via 9-2 decision at 126 pounds, and Logan Swenson (Roundtree) defeated Elias Navida (Poway) via 6-0 decision at 132 pounds. Poway would respond at 138 pounds when Paul Kelly (Poway) defeated Blue Stiffler (Roundtree) via a 10-4 decision to bring the dual to 12-10 still in Roundtree’s favor. Roundtree would extend their lead at 145 pounds when Jaxon Joy (Roundtree) tech falled Jack Estevez (Poway) 17-2, before Laird Root (Poway) defeated Ty Wilson (Roundtree) via 10-4 decision at 152 pounds. Roundtree would pick up six points at 160 pounds with a forfeit win for Kendrick Hodge (Roundtree) to extend their lead once again to 23-13. Dominic Bambinelli (Roundtree) would further extend Roundtree’s lead to 28-13 with a tech fall win over Dom Dotson (Poway) 16-1 at 170 pounds. Poway would then gain a little ground at 182 pounds when Angelo Posada (Poway) defeated Konlin Weaver (Roundtree) via 8-3 to bring the score to 28-16. At 195 pounds Roundtree would grab another three points when Gunner Henry (Roundtree) defeated Ben Bomberger (Poway) via 9-4 decision to extend their lead to 31-16 essentially locking up the dual win for Roundtree. Poway would continue to battle at 220 pounds and 285 pounds with back-to-back wins. Robert Platt (Poway) would defeat Aaron Riner (Roundtree) via a 9-2 decision, and Adam Farha (Poway) would pin Jesse Batten (Roundtree) to bring the final score to 31-25 in favor of Roundtree Wrestling.

 

Minion Legends vs. Team Thunder

With both Minion Legends and Team Thunder both having tight opening round duals, this one was bound to be a banger! Gabe Swann (Minion Legends) would give Minion the lead 3-0 at 100 pounds with a tight decision win over PJ Terranova (Team Thunder) 2-1 to get things started. Team Thunder would respond to tie the dual at 106 pounds after John McGinty (Team Thunder) defeated Axel Ritchie (Minion Legends) via 5-2 decision. Minion and Thunder would trade decision wins at 113 pounds and 120 pounds with JoJo Uhorchuk (Minion Legends) defeating Matt O’Neil (Team Thunder) 5-3, and Keanu Dillard (Team Thunder) defeating Ethan Uhorchuk (Minion Legends) 4-1 to tie once again at 6-6. Team Thunder would take the lead at 126 pounds after Eren Sement (Team Thunder) narrowly defeated John Stewart (Minion Legends) 2-0, before Cooper Hilton (Minion Legends) defeated Nick O’Neil (Team Thunder) 6-0 to tie it up again 9-9. The teams would then trade pins at 138 pounds and 145 pounds with Landon Robideau (Minion Legends) pinning Tahir Perkins (Team Thunder), and August Hibler (Team Thunder) pinning Logan Paradice (Minion Legends) to keep the dual tied at 15-15. Minion would take the lead 21-15 after back-to-back decision wins at 152 pounds and 160 pounds. 152       Leo Contino (Minion Legends) defeated Jaydon Robinson (Team Thunder) 5-0, and Latrell Schafer (Minion Legends) defeated Darious Marines (Team Thunder) 3-2. With Minion holding a six-point lead going into the 170-pound match, Team Thunder would rip off four straight wins from 170 pounds to 220 pounds to take the 30-21 lead and essentially wrap up the dual after Ryan Burton (Team Thunder) majored Gunner Holland (Minion Legends) 12-4, Cole Han Lindemeyer (Team Thunder) tech falled Jake Stacy (Minion Legends) 21-2, Ryland Whitworth (Team Thunder) defeated Landon Jones (Minion Legends) via 2-1 decision, and Bryce Phillips (Team Thunder) defeated Denarii Michel (Minion Legends) via 6-2 decision. At 285 pounds Aden Attao (Minion Legends) would defeat Spencer Lanosga (Team Thunder) via 11-7 decision to bring the final score to 30-24 and a Team Thunder win.

 

Dynasty vs. Scarlet Knights

In the final dual of the 12pm session, Dynasty would show their dominance in a big 62-9 win over the Scarlet Knights. Dynasty would win the first seven matches from 100 pounds to 138 pounds. Caleb Noble (Dynasty) tech falled Gabe Easy (Scarlet Knights) 16-1 to kick things off. Caden Correll (Dynasty) would defeat Eli Hattaway (Scarlet Knights) 10-5, Dom Munaretto (Dynasty) tech falled Bradley Patterson (Scarlet Knights) 17-1, Seth Mendoza (Dynasty) tech falled Robert Jones (Scarlet Knights) 18-3, Jax Forrest (Dynasty) tech falled Vinnie Paino (Scarlet Knights) 19-4, Bo Bassett (Dynasty) tech falled Casen Roark (Scarlet Knights) 17-2, and Tyler Harrill (Dynasty) pinned J`Veion Redmon (Scarlet Knights) to take a demanding 34-0 lead going into the 145 pound match. At 145 the Scarlet Knights would get on the board when Ryan Ford (Scarlet Knights) pinned Lorenzo Alston (Dynasty) to bring the score to 34-6. The Scarlet Knights would edge even closer at 152 pounds when Zach Ballante (Scarlet Knights) defeated Andrew Barbosa (Dynasty) via sudden victory 4-1 to bring the score to 34-9. This would ultimately be the end of the late Scarlet Knights surge, as Dynasty would win the remaining matches from 160 pounds to 285 pounds. Riley Johnson (Dynasty) defeated Brandon Dean (Scarlet Knights) 6-5, Carson Thomas (Dynasty) tech falled Xander Dossett (Scarlet Knights) 18-2, Cade Ziola (Dynasty) tech falled Kaleb Jackson (Scarlet Knights) 19-3, Eugenio Franco (Dynasty) pinned Josh Lange (Scarlet Knights), Noah Wenzel (Dynasty) picked up the forfeit, and Parker Ferrell (Dynasty) defeated Daniel Herrera (Scarlet Knights) via 2-1 decision. Roundtree vs. Team Thunder

With Minion Legends vs. Roundtree and Team Thunder vs. Minion Legends being bangers, the 2pm slot would be bound to kick off with fireworks! Brandon Bickerton (Roundtree) defeated PJ Terranova (Team Thunder) via 4-2 decision at 100 pounds to give Roundtree the early lead 3-0. Team Thunder would respond at 106 pounds to tie the dual when John McGinty (Team Thunder) defeated Austin Bickerton (Roundtree) via 12-6 decision leading into the 113-pound matchup. Team Thunder would rip off five straight wins at this point. 113 pounds to 138 pounds to take the 22-3 lead. Matt O’Neil (Team Thunder) pinned DJ Clark (Roundtree), Keanu Dillard (Team Thunder) majored Antonio Mills (Roundtree) 8-0, Eren Sement (Team Thunder) defeated Jake Crapps (Roundtree) via 7-5 decision, Nick O’Neil (Team Thunder) defeated Logan Swenson (Roundtree) via 2-0 decision, and Tahir Perkins (Team Thunder) defeated Blue Stiffler (Roundtree) via 4-2 decision. Roundtree would respond at 145 pounds and grab three straight decision wins to tighten the score to 22-12. Jaxon Joy (Roundtree) defeated August Hibler (Team Thunder) via 11-4 decision, Ty Wilson (Roundtree) defeated Jaydon Robinson (Team Thunder) at 152 pounds via 4-0 decision, and Kendrick Hodge (Roundtree) defeated Darious Marines (Team Thunder) via 4-2 decision. Ryan Burton (Team Thunder) would narrowly defeat Dominic Bambinelli (Roundtree) via sudden victory 4-1 at 170 pounds, before Cole Han Lindemeyer (Team Thunder) tech falled Konlin Weaver (Roundtree) 19-4 at 182 pounds to extend the lead to 30-12. Roundtree responded at 195 pounds as Gunner Henry (Roundtree) defeated Ryland Whitworth (Team Thunder) via an 8-1 decision to bring the score to 30-15 and locking up the dual win with two matches left. At 220 pounds, Aaron Riner (Roundtree) would pin Bryce Phillips (Team Thunder) to bring the score to 30-21. In the final match at 285 pounds, Spencer Lanosga (Team Thunder) would pin Jesse Batten (Roundtree) to bring the final score to 36-21 and the win for Team Thunder.

 

Dynasty vs. Poway

Dynasty would once again show dominance dropping only three matches in their dual with Poway. Caleb Noble (Dynasty) once again kicked things off at 100 pounds pinning Brayden Wenrich (Poway) to take the early 6-0 lead. Dynasty would continue to dominate from there. Winning 106 pounds to 132 pounds. Caden Correll (Dynasty) defeated Arseni Kikiniou (Poway) via 8-5 decision, Dom Munaretto (Dynasty) majored Devin Bobzien (Poway) 17-5, Seth Mendoza (Dynasty) defeated Edwin Sierra (Poway) via 5-0 decision, Jax Forrest (Dynasty) would tech fall Billy Townson (Poway) 20-4, and Bo Bassett (Dynasty) would tech fall Elias Navida (Poway) 18-2, leading Dynasty to a 28-0 lead. Poway would get on the board when Paul Kelly (Poway) tech falled Tyler Harrill (Dynasty) 16-0 to bring the score to 28-5. Dynasty would grab another three points at 145 pounds after Lorenzo Alston (Dynasty) defeated Jack Estevez (Poway) via 9-3 decision and extending the lead to 31-5. Laird Root (Poway) defeated Andrew Barbosa (Dynasty) via sudden victory 11-8 to bring the score to 31-8 at 152 pounds. After Riley Johnson (Dynasty) grabbed a forfeit win at 160 pounds to extend the Dynasty lead even further, Dynasty would pick up three straight wins. Carson Thomas (Dynasty) defeated Dom Dotson (Poway) via 5-0 decision at 170 pounds, Cade Ziola (Dynasty) pinned Angelo Posada (Poway) at 182 pounds, and Eugenio Franco (Dynasty) majored Ben Bomberger (Poway) 8-0 195 pounds to bring the score to 44-8. Poway would grab a decision win at 220 pounds when Robert Platt (Poway) defeated Noah Wenzel (Dynasty) 8-4, before Dynasty picking up an additional three points at 285 pounds when Parker Ferrell (Dynasty) defeated Adam Farha (Poway) via 8-3 decision. Dynasty defeated Poway 51-11.

 

Minion Legends vs. Scarlet Knights

In another lopsided dual, the Minion Legends would begin the dual with four straight wins and a 19-0 lead. Gabe Swann (Minion Legends) pinned Gabe Easy (Scarlet Knights) at 100 pounds, Axel Ritchie (Minion Legends) defeated Eli Hattaway (Scarlet Knights) via 10-4 decision at 106 pounds, JoJo Uhorchuk (Minion Legends) tech falled Bradley Patterson (Scarlet Knights) 19-4, and Ethan Uhorchuk (Minion Legends) tech falled Mason Moody (Scarlet Knights) 17-0. The Scarlet Knights got on the board at 126 pounds when Vinnie Paino (Scarlet Knights) defeated John Stewart (Minion Legends) via 7-2 decision to bring the score to 19-3. Minion would then pickup ten points at 132 and 138 pounds with Cooper Hilton (Minion Legends) majoring Casen Roark (Scarlet Knights) 11-2 and Landon Robideau (Minion Legends) pinning J`Veion Redmon (Scarlet Knights) to bring the score to 29-3. The Scarlet Knights showed some resilience at 145 and 152 pounds by picking up two straight decision wins. Ryan Ford (Scarlet Knights) defeated Logan Paradice (Minion Legends) 7-0, and Zach Ballante (Scarlet Knights) defeated Leo Contino (Minion Legends) 2-1 to bring the score to 29-9. Minion would win the next four matches at 160 to 195 pounds. Latrell Schafer (Minion Legends) would tech fall Brandon Dean (Scarlet Knights) 15-0, Gunner Holland (Minion Legends) tech falled Xander Dossett (Scarlet Knights) 17-1, Jake Stacy (Minion Legends) pinned Kaleb Jackson (Scarlet Knights), and Landon Jones (Minion Legends) majored Josh Lange (Scarlet Knights) 14-1 to extend the Minion lead to 49-9. After a double forfeit at 220 pounds, the Scarlet Knights picked up a decision win at 285 pounds when Daniel Herrera (Scarlet Knights) defeated Aden Attao (Minion Legends) 4-3. Minion Legends defeated Scarlet Knights 49-12.

Poway vs. Team Thunder

Kicking off the 4pm slot was Poway and Team Thunder. Brayden Wenrich (Poway) would major PJ Terranova (Team Thunder) 14-3 at 100 pounds to put Poway up early 4-0. The lead wouldn’t last as Team Thunder would win the next five matches from 106 pounds to 132 pounds. John McGinty (Team Thunder) would defeat Arseni Kikiniou (Poway) via 5-0 decision, Matt O’Neil (Team Thunder) tech falled Devin Bobzien (Poway) 16-1, Keanu Dillard (Team Thunder) defeated Edwin Sierra (Poway) via 5-0 decision, Eren Sement (Team Thunder) majored Billy Townson (Poway) 9-0, and Nick O’Neil (Team Thunder) majored Elias Navida (Poway) 10-0 to give Team Thunder the 19-4 lead. Paul Kelly (Poway) would major Tahir Perkins (Team Thunder) 14-4 at 138 pounds to bring the dual to 19-8. August Hibler (Team Thunder) would extend the Team Thunder lead by pinning Jack Estevez (Poway) at 145 pounds, before Poway would respond at 152 pounds when Laird Root (Poway) would major Jaydon Robinson (Team Thunder) 11-0 bringing the score to 27-12. Team Thunder would once again extend their lead to 33-12 when Darious Marines (Team Thunder) picked up the forfeit win at 160 pounds. Team Thunder would pick up wins at 170 and 182 pounds after Ryan Burton (Team Thunder) pinned Dom Dotson (Poway), and Cole Han Lindemeyer (Team Thunder) defeated Angelo Posada (Poway) via 4-0 decision. Poway would pick up twelve points when Ben Bomberger (Poway) pinned Ryland Whitworth (Team Thunder) at 195 pounds, and Robert Platt (Poway) picked up the forfeit win at 220 pounds bringing the score to 40-24 in favor of Team Thunder. With the dual locked up, Team Thunder would grab another six points when Spencer Lanosga (Team Thunder) pinned Adam Farha (Poway) at 285 pounds. Team Thunder Defeated Poway 46-24.

 

Dynasty vs. Minion Legends

This is bound to be good! Dynasty would strike first when Caleb Noble (Dynasty) tech falled Gabe Swann (Minion Legends) 19-2 at 100 pounds to take the early 5-0 lead. Axel Ritchie (Minion Legends) at 106 pounds would put Minion on the board with a 5-1 decision win over Caden Correll (Dynasty) to bring the score to 5-3. Dynasty would win the next four straight weights. 113 to 132 pounds. Dom Munaretto (Dynasty) pinned JoJo Uhorchuk (Minion Legends), Seth Mendoza (Dynasty) defeated Ethan Uhorchuk (Minion Legends) via 5-0 decision, Jax Forrest (Dynasty) tech falled John Stewart (Minion Legends) TF 16-1, and Bo Bassett (Dynasty) majored Cooper Hilton (Minion Legends) 14-2 to give Dynasty the 23-3 lead. Minion would bounce back at 138 pounds when Landon Robideau (Minion Legends) tech falled Tyler Harrill (Dynasty) 20-3 bringing the score to 23-8. Dynasty would extend their lead at 145 pounds after Lorenzo Alston (Dynasty) defeated Logan Paradice (Minion Legends) via 5-2 decision. Minion would then go on a run. Winning the next four straight matches. 152 pounds to 182 pounds. With Dynasty clinging to a tight 26-23 lead going into the 195-pound match, Eugenio Franco (Dynasty) would defeat Landon Jones (Minion Legends) via a tight 4-2 decision to bring the score to 29-23 with two matches to go. Noah Wenzel (Dynasty) would major Denarii Michel (Minion Legends) 15-1 to clinch the dual win for Dynasty as they would go up 33-23 going into the 285-pound match. Aden Attao (Minion Legends) would defeat Parker Ferrell (Dynasty) via 5-1 decision to bring the final score to 33-26 in favor of Dynasty.

In the final dual of Pool A in the 6pm slot, Roundtree Wrestling took on the Scarlet Knights. Roundtree would jump to a quick 8-0 lead after Brandon Bickerton (Roundtree) tech falled Gabe Easy (Scarlet Knights) 17-0 at 100 pounds, and Austin Bickerton (Roundtree) defeated Eli Hattaway (Scarlet Knights) via 12-5 decision at 106 pounds. The Scarlet Knights would get on the board at 113 pounds when Bradley Patterson (Scarlet Knights) defeated DJ Clark (Roundtree) via 9-4 decision to bring the score to 8-3. Roundtree would win the next five matches. 120 pounds to 145 pounds. Antonio Mills (Roundtree) would defeat Robert Jones (Scarlet Knights) via 8-4 decision, Jake Crapps (Roundtree) defeated Vinnie Paino (Scarlet Knights) via 8-3 decision, Logan Swenson (Roundtree) defeated Casen Roark (Scarlet Knights) via 7-0 decision, Blue Stiffler (Roundtree) defeated J`Veion Redmon (Scarlet Knights) via 8-1 decision, and Jaxon Joy (Roundtree) would tech fall Ryan Ford (Scarlet Knights) 21-6 to give Roundtree the 25-3 lead. Roundtree would extend their lead with wins at 160 pounds and 170 pounds when Kendrick Hodge (Roundtree) narrowly defeated Brandon Dean (Scarlet Knights) Dec 10-9, and Dominic Bambinelli (Roundtree) tech falled Xander Dossett (Scarlet Knights) 16-0. With the dual all but locked up for Roundtree 33-6, Kaleb Jackson (Scarlet Knights) would grab a forfeit at 182 pounds to bring the score to 33-12. Gunner Henry (Roundtree) would tech fall Josh Lange (Scarlet Knights) 17-2 at 195 pounds, before Aaron Riner (Roundtree) would pickup a forfeit win at 220 pounds. Daniel Herrera (Scarlet Knights) would tech fall Jesse Batten (Roundtree) 19-3 at 285 pounds to close out the dual. Roundtree defeated Scarlet Knights 44-17.
