SEWrestle NOTE: As you can see from the graph above … Wilson Central doesn’t rebuild … they simply reload. That said - this year’s squad - while talented will need some new faces to step up. Wilson Central lost 115 points from last year’s team that finished 3rd at the traditional state tournament. They do return 5 hammers though in 2023 State Placers Camron Isbell and Samuel Griggs, 2023 State Qualifier Vance Blake as well as 2022 State Runner-up James Hicks and 2022 State Placer Paul Johnson. The return of Hicks and Johnson are huge. Isbell, Griggs, Hicks, and Johnson will each have their sights set on the top step in Franklin. Whether the team climbs back into the top 5 will likely come down to the development of Eliam Sanders, Logan Emberton, Jacob Clark, and Andrew Clark. And always keep an eye on the next crew - Lannom, Cockerham, Janssen, and Staggs.
